FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Norwalk Community School District Welcomes Jen Sigrist as Associate Superintendent of Teaching and Learning
Norwalk, Iowa – February 13, 2024 – The Norwalk Community School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Jen Sigrist as the new Associate Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. Mrs. Sigrist’s hiring recommendation was approved by the Norwalk Board of Directors at a regular business meeting on February 12th. Jen will officially start her new role on July 1, 2024.
Superintendent Shawn Holloway expressed his excitement about Jen joining the team, saying, “We are thrilled to welcome Jen Sigrist, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of education.”
Jen Sigrist, who has been working as the Executive Director at Central Rivers Area Education Agency, shared her excitement about her new role, stating, “I’m really happy to be able to work in my own community. I can’t wait to start working with the Norwalk Schools Team.”
Before joining Norwalk, Jen also worked as the Director of Personalized Learning and Innovation at Van Meter Schools. During her time there, she led efforts to improve the curriculum, support students with different needs, and promote a more flexible approach to education. Jen Sigrist’s experience and dedication make her a great fit for the Norwalk Community School District and everyone is looking forward to seeing the positive impact she will have.
